Cancellation and Refund Policy

How to cancel a SealedMail subscription and how refunds work. No notice period, no cancellation fee.

Version 1.0 - Effective 1st June 2026

This policy explains how to cancel a SealedMail subscription and how refunds work. It forms part of the SealedMail Terms of Service.

How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, by either:

There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no contract to break. Each domain is a separate subscription, so you can cancel one domain and keep others.

When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No further payments are taken after you cancel.

Service after cancellation

You continue to receive the full service - weekly reports and the included health check - until the end of the period you have paid for.

After your subscription ends, remember to remove SealedMail's addresses from your DMARC (RUA) and TLS-RPT DNS records, otherwise email receivers will continue sending reports to addresses that are no longer monitored on your behalf.

Your data after cancellation

Your account data is retained for 30 days after your subscription ends, then permanently deleted. During that period you can exercise your data rights (including subject access) by emailing [email protected]. Billing records are retained for 6 years to meet HMRC requirements, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Refunds

  • Partial months: no pro-rata refunds are given for unused time in a billing period.
  • Service failure: where SealedMail has materially failed to deliver the service - for example, a missed weekly report not made good - a partial refund may be given at SealedMail's discretion. Email [email protected] with the details.
  • If SealedMail discontinues the service: you will be given reasonable notice, and a pro-rata refund for any unused paid period will be made automatically.
